This is going to be a long post because we spent many days in Germany, travelling from Munich to Füssen to Zugspitze to Frankfurt to Koblenz to Bonn and to Cologne.
This was our first meal in Germany! So hungry after our train ride that we had to stop by Macs. McRIB was not bad!
Took a 2 hour train ride from Munich to Füssen to visit the castles.
Schloss Hohenschwangau
I drank apple cider and Sam had some of their local beer.
Trekked up 40 mins to reach the other castle.
Schloss Neuschwanstein!
The most beautiful castle I've seen! It's also the inspiration for Disney's sleeping beauty castle. <3
Went to visit the highest mountain in Germany on a very cloudy day. ):
Everyone who climbed up to the summit had safety lines and proper gear and we just used our bare hands and feet. Was tiring because the air was so thin!
So hot after our climb that we took off all our outer layers!
2 degrees celsius and Sam can wear just a shirt. Hahaha.
Sledding for fun! (:
Marienplatz in Munich
Frankfurt at night
Pork Knuckle!
Hand cheese... which was an appetiser for the locals but I couldn't handle it.
Boat cruise down the rhine
View of the Rhine from Drachenfels (Dragon's rock)
Schloss Drachenburg
Near Schloss Rheinfels
Drachenfels Bahn that we took
We took a tram to Bonn from Drachenfels and found our way to Beethoven's house!
Lastly, we chilled in Cologne because we were too tired from travelling. Hahaha. Took this picture of the Cologne Cathedral just as we were leaving Germany.
Back to my homework now!
